Our family of four, plus two friends for our kids, just returned from a fantastic President’s Day weekend at Club Wyndham Glacier Canyon. We were looking for a mix of water park fun and snowy adventures at nearby Cascade Mountain, and Glacier Canyon delivered on both fronts.
We stayed in a 3-bedroom Deluxe unit in building D, which was perfect for our group of eight. The layout, with a primary bedroom, a room with two queens, and another queen room, provided ample space and privacy for the adults and the kids. No one felt cramped, which is a huge plus on a group trip! The location in building D was also incredibly convenient; it was an easy walk to all three indoor water parks, a major highlight for our crew.
Our room itself was well-appointed. The gas fireplace created a cozy ambiance against the backdrop of a snowy Wisconsin weekend, and the view was picturesque. The in-room amenities were a definite plus. We took advantage of pizza delivery for a casual dinner one night, and the dads enjoyed a delicious steak dinner at the on-site Field’s Steakhouse. Having dining options right there made things very easy.
The water parks, of course, were a huge hit with the kids. They spent hours splashing and sliding, and the convenience of having them so close to our room was invaluable. Cascade Mountain was also a short drive away, making it easy to hit the slopes for some skiing and snowboarding.
While our Deluxe room was very comfortable and spacious, we did notice a few signs of wear and tear. A refresh in the near future would definitely enhance the overall experience.
One thing that would have made our stay even better, and this is a growing need for many families, is the addition of on-site EV charging. As EV owners, we had to rely on charging options outside the resort, which added extra time and planning to our trip.
Overall, our President’s Day weekend at Club Wyndham Glacier Canyon was a memorable one. The spacious accommodations, convenient location, and access to both water parks and Cascade Mountain made it an ideal family getaway. With a little attention to the minor upkeep issues and the addition of EV charging, this resort would be truly exceptional.
